Case Study: A New Website for AC8 Academy
My client:
AC8 Academy, a kids football coaching business in Harrogate, led by founder and former Premier League player Adam Clayton.
The brief:
A fresh, professional website that could properly reflect the quality of AC8's coaching, help parents understand what makes the academy different, and — most importantly — turn website visitors into new registrations.
The challenge:
AC8 Academy had built a genuine reputation in Harrogate for high-quality, professional football coaching, but their website wasn't doing that reputation justice. It needed to work hard on a very practical level too: make it easy for busy parents to understand what AC8 offers, feel confident in the coaching team, and register their child without any friction.
What we did:
Working closely with the AC8 marketing team, I redesigned the website from the ground up, focusing on:
- A clear, warm introduction
to AC8's coaching philosophy, so parents understand not just what the academWhat we did:
y does, but why it's different
- Easy registration — making the path from “interested” to “signed up” as simple as possible
- Mobile-first design, since most parents were likely to be browsing on their phones between school runs and after-work admin
- Genuine testimonials, including from the children themselves, to bring the experience to life
The result:
Since the new site went live, Adam has seen a real, measurable difference:
“Since Katie at Blossom Online built our new site, enquiries have gone through the roof. The whole process was straightforward and stress-free, and the finished result really captures what AC8 Academy is all about. It looks brilliant, works perfectly on mobile, and most importantly it's brought in real families who are now part of our community.”
— Adam Clayton, Founder & Team Principal, AC8 Academy
That last point matters most to me. A good website isn't just something that looks nice — it should genuinely bring in the right people and make their decision easier.
